Position Title: ER Assistant (Clerical)

Department:Emergency Services
Position Description: Provides indirect patient care in the ER. Meets the communication needs of the patient/family, departmental staff and medical staff. Implements directions from physicians and nursing staff. Enters and verifies orders in the computer system. Documents the time orders were placed in the computer on the ED record.

    Qualifications:
    Education:Must have high school diploma or GED
    Special Skills:Basic computer knowledge
    Physical Requirements:Stand; walk; use hands repetitively to finger, handle, grasp, or feel objects, tools, or control; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk; use of hands and foot control repetitively. The employee is required to hear alarms on equipment, client call, and instructions from physicians/department staff.

    All applicants must include a copy of their HS diploma, GED or transcripts when applications are turned in.
