 Laboratory 
Position Title: Laboratory Medical Technologist

Department:Laboratory
Position Description: Responsible for the daily operations of the laboratory instrumentation including staff performing testing. Maintains quality control practices in the laboratory. Performs patient specimen analysis for diagnostic purposes, under the direct supervision of the Clinical Laboratory Director. Enters all results into the computer system. Brings panic value test results to the attention of the Clinical Laboratory Director and/or pathologist. Responsible for cleaning, disinfecting and sterilizing various equipment and work areas in the laboratory. Maintains laboratory inventory. Under the supervision of the Clinical Laboratory Director, processes specimens in hematology, chemistry, blood bank and microbiology.

Average Weekly Hours:30-40
The above wage range reflects the minimum, midpoint and maximum hourly rate for this position. New employees are hired between the minimum and midpoint of this range. The initial wage offered will be based on qualifications and experience.

    Qualifications:
    Education:High School Diploma or GED required
    Experience:3 month work experience
    Physical Requirements:Stand; walk; use hands repetitively to finger, handle, grasp, or feel objects, tools, or control; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk; use of hands and foot control repetitively. The employee is required to hear alarms on equipment, client call, and instructions from physicians/department staff.
    License Required:Must be Nationally (ASCP) or MLT
