Position Title: Physical Therapy Assistant

Department:Rehabilitation Services
Position Description: Provide treatment as directed by the staff Physical Therapist. Administers treatments and physical agents as directed by the staff Physical Therapist, after physical therapists has evaluated the patient. Assists in the operational aspects of the department, maintains improvement activities within the department.

    Qualifications:
    Education:Must have AA Degree from a school or college approved by the APTA.
    Special Skills:Basic computer knowledge. Basic knowledge of physical medicine, physical therapy modalities, anatomy and physiology.
    Physical Requirements:Stand; walk; use hands repetitively to finger, handle, grasp, or feel objects, tools, or control; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk; use of hands and foot control repetitively. The employee is required to hear alarms on equipment, client call, and instructions from physicians/department staff.
