AVRMC VISITATION GUIDELINES
Visiting hours are from 8:00am - 8:00pm every day of the week.
Face coverings are optional, but encouraged for anyone that is not fully vaccinated or having respiratory symptoms. Masks will be available if needed.
IN-PATIENT (Med/Surg and ICU)
Two visitors are allowed in the room at a time. Children are also allowed, however there is a limit of two children at a time and must always be accompanied by an adult.
Visitors will not be allowed to sleep at the bedside, except for pediatric patients. Two parent/guardians will be allowed to stay with hospitalized children under 18 years of age.
Visitation may be allowed for COVID-19 patients. One visitor once per day and the visitor must be in full PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) while in the room. If the visitor cannot wear properly fitting PPE, they may not visit. Visitation time will be coordinated with the charge nurse in the respective department.
OUT-PATIENT (Emergency Department)
Only one visitor at a time will be allowed to visit the patient in the ER, the visitor will be able to leave and come back or trade out with another visitor.
Two parents/guardians will be allowed to stay with children under 18 years of age.
Covid positive patients will be allowed only one visitor, who must stay in the room and will not be allowed to trade out with another visitor.
OUT-PATIENT (Surgical Services)
One visitor will be allowed in the Same Day Surgery area before the procedure and then will wait in the waiting room. The visitor will then be allowed into Same Day Surgery area post operatively to understand discharge instructions.
OUT-PATIENT (Lab, Radiology, Respiratory, Rehab, Specialty Clinic, Infusion Therapy)
One visitor will be allowed to accompany the patient to their appointment.
