Job Summary:
- Assures accurate patient tray assembly and delivery.
- Applies knowledge of nutrition to accurately write diet and nourishment orders.
- Assists in hiring, training, and evaluation of associates.
- Maintains accurate records for tray service
- Prepare, season, cook and serve all food for assigned meal according to portion control standards and recipes.
- Taste and smell prepared food to determine quality and palatability.
- Responsible for seeing that all policies and procedures are followed correctly by staff.
- Assures that food is stored, prepared and served under safe, sanitary conditions.
- Assist with preparation, service, and cleaning according to department need, to assure efficient operation.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Skill/Educational Requirements:
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Preferred to be a Certified Food Protection Professional
- One to three months related experience and/or training.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience.
- One year of cooking experience required
- One year of supervisory experience required.
